BIG 2 WARCRAFT 3 MAP



Popular card game aka Cho Dai Di now in Warcraft 3. Made this map along with the models, needed some effort, took 1 week early this year + another 1 week during the last sem break, which makes it a total of 2 weeks. Just to come up with the models+UI design+validation of cards algos blah. I wanna do something else d. Made this because no one made card games on Warcraft 3, given the potential of Warcraft's readily available resources(a dota player market, 3d model resource, sound resource, a simple click-base scripting language not text base, blahblahblahareyoureadingthisifeeldontfeelembarestapparentlyblahblahblahblahblahcausei

blahblahblahblahblah, also large community of forums that supply documentation for Warcraft engine blah). Another reason I made this is because I want to try making algos for the card validation thingy, like tell the computer what card can be put at what time, working through some systematic way, fewer bugs were encountered than previous maps I did. By systematic I mean I did it slowly, took my time, no rushing, when there is a problem, go and lie down at the sofa and think, then come back and sleep over it, then managed to think of solutions, solve the issues by the next day. Basically don't wanna waste the sem break by just absorbing information from the web, wanna do something that requires my offering, to up my skill. Well, thank God it actually works, get to play it with friends for a few hours non-stop, play with me... You remember the old days where we just play chodaidi at school and camps and stuff...those fun times

Why Cho Dai Di and not other card games like cheat, up and down the river, or poker?
because Cho Dai Di is the childhood game, you know I don't talk to people alot and playing cho dai di was one of those social activities that makes talking much easier
